Use a disposable scraper or paper towel to scrape all food residue from the container into the trash can to prevent recontamination during cleaning.
Place the plastic food containers in warm water (30-40℃), add food-grade neutral detergent, and gently scrub with a soft sponge or brush, ensuring all inner walls, lids, and seams are cleaned.
Rinse thoroughly with running tap water, ensuring no detergent residue remains.
Prepare a disinfectant solution (available chlorine ≥250mg/L) according to the disinfectant instructions, and completely immerse the container for 5-10 minutes. If using chlorine dioxide, control the concentration at 100-150mg/L, and soak for 10-20 minutes.
After rinsing away disinfectant residue with clean drinking water, place the container in a cool, well-ventilated place to air dry naturally. Avoid wiping with unsterilized towels.
For heat-resistant PP (polypropylene) containers, sterilize with boiling water (100℃) for 10 minutes, or use a dedicated steam sterilizer (≥120℃) for 10 minutes to further enhance the sterilization effect. This method is suitable for scenarios where the container needs to be reused after single use.
